Suggestions for improvement
- Make an effort to retain employees. Majority of people I worked with hated their job only due to the conditions.
I like about the employer
Halliburton has a good training program. You are exposed to new environments constantly and are able to develop quickly.
I dislike about the employer
Work-life balance was not good. You were expected to work (doing reports etc.) during scheduled off days without compensation. The pay is not competitive for the industry. The company preaches safety, but It was commonplace to stay awake working for up to 48 hours. It is difficult to find a supervisor with professionalism. The turnaround is very high because employees are not valued, and rather than retain employees Halliburton seems to prefer to hire new cheaper candidates.
