The culture was ok. Bra fitting men and women is a bit uncomfortable.
Support from management
Management is out for themselves. You need to be able to make Bra fit goals and sales goals or you get warnings. Employees are not included in decision making processes.
Everyone tries to work as a team. But you need to make all your goals so it can get a little difficult when trying to get to work with customers.
Freedom to work independently
You can somewhat work independently but you sometimes have management hovering.
We were/are informed of results either daily or weekly.
Pretty much only women work for the stores because female customers would feel very uncomfortable with a man helping them or fitting them for a bra.
Attitude towards older colleagues
When I worked there, I was one of the oldest, and there was no respect for me as a supervisor or a person.
no real advancement opportunities at this store.
Overall compensation for your work
before I worked there they gave bonuses for meeting goals. After I started they took it away. Also even if you do your best, sometimes not good enough.
Office / Work Environment
If you were friends with everyone or even if they liked you, everything was great.
this was pretty ok.
If you are in supervisory position it is difficult to get the time off you need, without getting in trouble. I don't feel that they consider families all that much. There are long hours sometimes. Also if you are late or call in it counts against you. You are only I think 6 days a yr and them you are warned then terminated.
You have to make all of your goals or your job could be in jeopardy,
it is handicap accessible, but the spaces between the fixtures are somewhat tight.
pretty consistent with workplace safety.
I was very proud of the work I did. It was a little challenging.
Inclusive / Diverse
this is tough one. It goes either way depending on the manager or the day.
Suggestions for improvement
- The treatment of employees could be better. Not to be so inclusive. Make everyone feel as if they matter and are part of the team.
What I like about the company
the pay is good and some staff are alright.
What I dislike about the company
How crammy the stores are and how unorganized it can get. I like things neat and orderly and not falling off the racks. That is how it is in the stores.
