Minimal opportunities to advance but will supplement related educational degrees.
More interested in profits/shareholders than their employees. Yes, that's predominately why were working, but not enough balance to keep employees content.
When work low/non-existent, company does not make enough effort to move people around to different departments or train for a different position.
Suggestions for improvement
- Have more concern for employees. Harris does not excel at providing employees benefits that make it a great company in regards to its competition.
What I like about the company
Flexible work hours, 9/80 schedule during the summer. Some of the people are great to work with and most everyone is helpful.
What I dislike about the company
Harris tends to come off looking cheap when it comes to providing for employees. Dated looking environment, not having the latest technology or software updates. Doesn't strive to be innovative. No 401(k) matching fund, pension or profit sharing for new employees. Raises are minimal. After work or off-site events for employee are minimal or on a shoe-string budget.
