Management wants to be positive and tries to keep things open, but doesn't seem to really understand how.

The leadership seems to be trying, but there are too many moving targets for employees to ever take them seriously. Management is far too willing to pass down non-nonsensical directives or make changes without letting the employees know.
A lot of people employed here flat out don't want to do their jobs for what we're paid. We all do the job anyway, and we'll help each other out thanks to the generally positive environment, but there's no great effort to work as a team that doesn't end up feeling like a joke.
