Vacation time is given but workload is heavy which discourages a person from taking it. Also, it does not carry over to next year, and your not offered a payout for unused days.
Suggestions for improvement
- Communicate priorities, respect your employees time, pay employees for holiday shut downs like Christmas instead of making them use their vacation time ands give a better x-mas bonus. It is cheap to not pay people for a Holiday shut down and then give them a $200 x-mas bonus. The bonus does not even cover the loss in pay for a person without vacation time. How unthoughtful at Christmas!
