- Heard and Smith, L.L.P22.Mar 2018
They make an effort to do fun company outings on a quarterly basis as well as other events such as drawings for a massage, fruit in the breakroom, coffee etc.
Support from management
Any support is an illusion. Zero loyalty.
Within my department there was a lot of team work.
Freedom to work independently
You used to be able to work independently and become a success. They have now moved into a culture of micro managing.
A process that you manage can be changed without you being aware. Changes within the company are not shared with employees. They are not good at communicating.
Less respect for women.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Several older colleagues. Great attitude from middle management. Less from upper management.
They are or were working on it.
Overall compensation for your work
Ok for frontline Intake department however low for number of people I was asked to manage. Front line is 13-15 per hour and managing 41 people and two team leads was only 53,500
Office / Work Environment
Was once a great place to work. Now it is more of a revolving door call center mentality. Although they try to show appreciation for employees they are slowly removing all incentives and upper management has no idea how to deal with people. You can be told you are doing a great job and then asked to resign due to some made up excuse
Would have been higher a few months ago.
You can get the job done in a 40 hour week, little to know weekends and flexible hours.
They won one of the top 10 companies to work for in San Antonio. I believe that if they did the survey now they would not be on the list.
If they want you gone they will find a reason. True or not. As stated above they are moving to a revolving door mentality and will have no issue letting someone go.
The building is accessible however there are 3 handicapped spaces for the entire building.
The job itself is not difficult. It is difficult to balance the unrealistic expectations of upper management. It is also difficult to deal with upper management that has never actually managed people.
Suggestions for improvement
- They need to understand if you want to people to see your company and your services they need to want to work for you. People don't work well with the fear of the ax dropping at anytime. Take the time to really know how long each task takes and what it takes to do it vs. relying on reports that don't show the whole picture of the job.
What I like about the company
I liked the people I worked with and before a few months ago I felt they cared about their employees.
What I dislike about the company
