Suggestions for improvement
- Allow programmers more freedom to make each program a little bit better each time it is touched so it is easier to read, understand and maintain in the future. Stop micro-manging so much (ie. Check with Director before adding SQL to any program).
I like about the employer
Everything except the management
I dislike about the employer
Old-school mentality; only change the minimal amount of code necessary. As opposed to upgrading or enhancing it as you go (ie. Adding helpful comments as needed, breaking up large sections of code into subroutines/subprocedures, OPM to ILE, RPG to FREE, etc...). To me this is lazy, sloppy programming.
