Are you a Current or Former Employee? Former job since 2010
Position Management/executive staff
“Good ole boys club” is the best phrase at the executive management level. If you are not in well at that level you most likely will never be. And to be well in at that level must be a “GM” this is generating good numbers for HEICO. At the executive management level, judgments are quickly passed and decisions handed swiftly. This is not the case at the subsidiary level. From experience, the folks at the subsidiaries at the manger level on down, are all very nice people.
Support from Management
My supervisor at the time then was great however. Supervisor support at the Executive and Corporate level is very lacking. Leadership support should be headed by corporate and handed down to the HEICO subsidiaries however, due to the nature of their business and where most of their subsidiaries are located. The corporation at the executive level fuels a culture of a “Good ole boys club”.
This causes for conflicts between the subsidiaries and corporate to deal with conflicting leadership directives. Which are torn between “You should get it done this way” vs. “ So long as your meeting your numbers” then you are left alone to run business as usual.
