There is a alot of favoritism that goes on within the company. Employees are not given adequate consideration for job promotion, its usually given to the person who is liked the best. The training for all employees is inadeqate as well.
Support from management
Very little, if any support from senior management staff when dealing with shop floor associate problems or issues.
Some of the employees are team oriented and work very well together. Unfortunately, there is not a system in place for dealing with the non-producers or slackers, which upsets the productive team members.
Freedom to work independently
All work stations are time studied.
Commuication from senior management is terrible. One day everything is white, the next day everything is gray. No consistency at all.
Alot of favoritism within the company.
The company has training material in place, however, you are never given the time to work on additional training that may benefit you.
Overall compensation for your work
The company has a fair wage and benefits package in place.
Office / Work Environment
Shop is fairly clean, work expectations fairly normal for a manufacturing company.
Most of the employees currently working for the company have similar opinions of favortisim and unfair practices.
The company talks alot about safety, but thats all it is. If a supervisor tries to enforce rules and procedures on the shop floor, those employees that did not want to comply usually go into the front office and complain to the senior staff about the supervisor and then the supervisor is usually lectured about it or told to "stop being such a hard ass."
Its the typical manufacturing job, you pretty much do the same thing everyday, which leads to burn out.
Suggestions for improvement
- Terminate the select few of incompetent senior management staff members.
