Are you a Current or Former Employee? Former job since 2013
Henry Ford Hospital is still a racist institution. There are incidents noted by someone everyday. There practices is still where it is loaded with Whites at the top and minorities at the very bottom of the ladder. They also practice favoritism, nepotism and anything else that they want too. Upper and upper upper management don't listen to the employee. They will listen to the lower management issues and believe whatever it is that they say. Always get what they talk to you about in writing or "recorded". "Zero tolerance" does not apply to all. No loyalty or appreciation is shown to some employees whether they worked their behinds off for 20,30,40 years. Yes, there are exceptions. When they want you out of the system its their job to make it happen. They don't care whether you have families, obligations or whatever. Human Recourses are not there for the employee, there is no confidelity. They play a duo role for the employee and their
employer that pays them. They will step right over you and keep it moving. Don't believe all their slogans "We Can" "Each patient first" just a ruse and fake. Management gossips about employees where as the
entire area(where you are stationed)knows something about the situation. Get in there you will see. Wages and benefits are good.
Suggestions for improvement
- Always listen to the employees, they are your eyes and ears. Be fair to all. Keep a conversation between you and the employee. Don't try to get rid of an employee just because "you don't like them".
