Sure, they had a lot of company culture, but not at this facility.
Support from management
I worked there for over 6 months without ANY advanced training in company procedures. Thank God I already knew what the job was about.
Trying to manage the staff was nearly impossible. Daily call offs made me spend most of my day just working the phones to find replacements. The Administrator was NO help whatsoever. It was a joke.
Freedom to work independently
Oh, I had plenty of autonomy.. Because I HAD to.
I did get one of the district mangers to listen to my concerns, however, once it got back to my administrator I knew my time there was ticking.
There's the administrator, then there was the rest of us.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Beats me, I wasn't there long enough.
After a few months I wouldn't have wanted to.
Overall compensation for your work
For the time and effort I put in there it was a farce.
Office / Work Environment
Seriously? We had to count out required supplies? Incontinent patients only got a minimum of incontinent products a night. And with understaffing of CNAs how were we supposed to keep them dry? It was a travesty.
I was salary. I worked so many overtime hours I was lucky to see my children during the week.
There's only two facilities in that little town. Pick your poison.
They couldn't keep nursing management there until the Administrator got her pet from another facility.
This place is OLD. 'Nuff said.
Oh, the stories I could tell...
Oh, it was 'challenging' all right....
