If the senior executive team in Florida only knew how the local leaders were treating the team I would think they would be as enraged as most employees feel.
Support from management
Does not exist! They are busy trying to look good for the VP's.
3 stars for team work when it comes to my peers! We look after each other and support each other. 0 stars for team work when it comes to leaders in the region.
Freedom to work independently
Since you don;t have support from management you have to figure it out yourself.
No clear direction or communication! An over abundance of conference calls with no real quality info or direction. Simply being done for the local leaders to cover their own butts.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Not welcome at least in operations.
You are basically thrown into the fire and expected to get results with no support from management. Local managers are great they live every day with you. Upper managers have no clue nor do they care.
Overall compensation for your work
Minimum wage for a lot of work. Selling you a career that is really only for a few select people.
Office / Work Environment
Lacks a lot of basic needs in the office environment. Basics like cleaning services do not exist.
Forget it! There is none! Most people get burned out within 6 months!
Not all smiles and rainbows like they tell you it is
They can't fill positions fast enough with the amount of people leaving.
Lacking a lot of basics at locations. Management says safety is a priority but you don't see anything being done to fix things
The work itself is not hard. It just you have no support form the people that are supposed to make changes happen.
Inclusive / Diverse
Company says they are trying. I guess that is why we have so many incompetent people in management roles. They are they not for their talent but to checkoff a box.
Suggestions for improvement
- The new managers that were brought in earlier this year have to go! They are what is destroying the company. They changes they made in replacing some managers have destroyed the morale. We need leaders who care about building our team and not just tearing it down.
What I like about the company
The local team and my manager is great! There is a strong bond between us. This company is great and can be even better if we had the right leader in place.
What I dislike about the company
A lot of politics.
