Support from management
Management needs to hire an Office Manager who is NOT a partner and who has taken courses on how to properly manage an office and work with employees.
There is teamwork within the individual departments. There is no teamwork between partner/office manager and employees. Very stressful.
Freedom to work independently
Allowed self-independence with proper supervision by attorney
We did have regular meetings to update everyone on status of estates that we were working on.
Office / Work Environment
One word: Stressful. This is due to the fact that the partner/office manager was constantly belittling employees and causing rifts between co-workers. 80% of the co-workers that were at this firm when I was hired are now gone. Never knew from one day to the next if you would be her next victim.
I was proud until I seen my co-workers let go or forced out. Knew that it would only be a matter of time.
Suggestions for improvement
- Hire a Office Manager who knows how to work with the employees.

Manager/Partner not employee friendly. Her way or no way. No job security.
