- Hetronic International, Inc.27.Oct 2016
Lack of information sharing, poor planning by management
Support from management
Management changed often, goals changed often, input from employees not taken seriously
Employees rarely knew about coming changes
Overall compensation for your work
Very un-competitive salary, company is trying to outsource most professional work to cut costs
Frequent unpaid OT demanded, 60+ hour work weeks, working nights, weekends, holidays was typical, lots of "fires" to put out
Work area was very interesting, with good knowledge and diverse experience among colleagues
Suggestions for improvement
- Compensate everyone better, ESPECIALLY the hourly manufacturing workers. Don't outsource work like engineering; whatever money you save in salary is more than lost in poor products and miscommunication. Listen to lower-level employees before you set unrealistic schedules or budgets. Offer more competitive benefits packages.
What I like about the company
As an engineer, we were given lots of autonomy, good tools to work with, interesting work, and good co-workers.
What I dislike about the company
Poor compensation, parent company made bad decisions and didn't listen to employees, things changed to often which hurt our customers, knowledge was rarely shared from management, schedules were poorly set and forced employees into a lot of unpaid overtime to meet them.
