Extremely open and relaxed attitude. Plenty of in office pranks and inter-department conversation.
Support from management
Open office setup. Got a question and they're there, go a head and ask them. Talked casually with the CEO several times.
Again open offices. Have questions about a project/problem/customer? Talk to your coworkers about the issue.
Freedom to work independently
Everyone has their own jobs to do. At the current moment some others have more workload than others. Internal changes are shifting workload.
Work related mostly email, sometimes in person if major issue. Otherwise casual talk in person
Everyone is equal here. Some of our highest ranked people are the kindest women you could meet.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Experience of all kinds are welcome. Recent new hire was a 50+ tech from another company with different experience to provide a different perspective.
Once aboard, different paths can open up. A recent hire had the chance to review for one of our higher end positions. If career path doesn't agree with you, there are processes to create your own. New departments are being created.

Office / Work Environment
Recent shift refocusing new upgrades and equipment as was as movement of offices for more agreeable workspace.
As an ISP we know we're powerhogs. Steps are being set to try to reduce our impact.
Flexible times, can range from 11am-8pm or 7am-3pm. Vacation takes usual standard 24hrs as long as there aren't too many people missing the workload would bury those who remain. Leave when you need to, make up when you can, Very flexible.
Strives for friendly image that all employees enbody.
Very stable company, those that were eliminated in recent history were done so because of work issues that were addressed but employees refused to change.
Ramps are basic for all offices. All offices are 1 story buildings.
Yearly training, both in office meetings and online.
ISP IT work. Explaining computing problems to a 75 year young customer can be challenge of it self. Getting that customer to reset her router, run a ipconfig /release and /renew while changing the DNS server info to get her online and happy, that is the ultimate challenge.
Inclusive / Diverse
Its Minnesota, we're as diverse as we can get. As long they meet the job specifications they can come black, white, yellow, brown, red, blue, green, purple, what have you. We're open to anything.
Suggestions for improvement
- Expand into more green energy as we can power hogs when it comes to our technology.
What I like about the company
Always changing problems and equipment. Always learning possiblities.
What I dislike about the company
Can take a bigger bite than we may be able to handle.
