Suggestions for improvement
- Acknowledge all employee efforts. Promote or hire employees based on experience, knowledge base, and willingness to contribute to positive change. Upper management should stop bullying employees to quit just because they do not like them.
What I like about the company
I like the parent company Winn Residential and the values that are projected in regards to safety.
What I dislike about the company
The upper management team has created a culture of bullying and insider circles. Employee efforts are not acknowledged. Most employees that are acknowledged are in the "inner circle".
Every year employees are forced to vote in the best places to work. If you do not vote you are reprimanded.
When you are hired there is no formal training program other than shadowing.
Policies and procedures change constantly based on the situation, although it should be consistent for fair housing.
New and current employees are promoted or hired based solely off the inner circle.
There are more reasons to support not working at Hickam but the above listed are the simplistic reason why the employee turn over is so extremely high.
