Company Culture

Upper management is more interested in bonuses and being below budget they have put the general public in danger.

Support from management

They may talk about it. But there is no follow through.

Teamwork

Teamwork between co-workers is why the general public does not know how dire the situation truly is

Office works better when the management let the supervisors do their job. Current situation is the supervisor works as a coworker due to staffing.

  • Human resource training and enforcement for upper management within the departments. Many Chief have forgotten how to respect their employees. Demeaning and intimidation are common.

I enjoyed my co workers.

What I dislike about the company

Morale has diminished to a level that the stress from the environment becomes overwhelming. Respect

Company Culture

For being the third largest Fire Dept. in the state of Florida, the 911 center is not ran very proficiently.

Support from management

Absolutely not. This 911 center is ran by the Chiefs. Most of which have never taken a 911 call. There is more stress from management than actually taking calls and dealing with life or death situations.

Teamwork

They do work well together.....but there is a lot of backstabbing.

Internal Communication

They are constantly changing policies. When they realize they don't work.......they change them back to original.

For the "chosen" few.

Overall compensation for your work

Not enough hourly pay for what you do. You are paid overtime, when payroll gets it right. My paychecks (and most others) were hardly ever correct!

Office / Work Environment

There is mold in the building which caused me to develop Asthma! There were 5 employees there with Asthma!!

Work-Life Balance

I was constantly working overtime. They are understaffed!
