- Hillshire Brands Company24.Nov 2015
Corporate attempts to create a good culture but no real back up. Employees always come last
Support from management
Lacks any real direction.
Communication was always lacking, departments don't work well together
Minimal opportunities to grow, small progressions but best to leave after some experience. They like to hire management positions externally
Overall compensation for your work
Decent for floor workers in comparison, benefits aren't very good. Negotiate a good salary initially or you will be stuck.
Office / Work Environment
Offices aren't bad, cold conditions in the plant are rough for some but you adjust
Employees always come last. Never a priority
If you show up you're fine, get a little fire happy sometimes
Inclusive / Diverse
Very diverse workforce. Not always a good thing though. Too many opinions makes it hard to get work done
What I like about the company
Pay checks come on time...
What I dislike about the company
Short notice for schedule changes, inconsistent work week, 3 days 1 week, 7 days the next 3 weeks. Lack of leadership or HR. HR company wide some of the worst I've
