Support from management
The way some things are handled are not professional at all.
Overall compensation for your work
Worked a ton of hours including some Saturdays and Sundays and only received pay for 40 hour work week. Was told I would be working year round so I took less pay and was then laid off.
If you love to work for little pay based on the amount of time you work then this job is for you. They did have a day where they took the company to a Reds game. However I missed a lot of time with my family based on the amount of work I put in for the company. They do offer vacation days and were good about letting me use them as needed.
I was promised a year round job when I interviewed. I took the position and when winter hit was laid off because they didn't know what they were going to do with a production manager during the slow season.
Suggestions for improvement
- Don't make promises that can't be kept. Go back to being a family atmosphere.
What I like about the company
Until some of the upper management changes happen was a very family atmosphere and enjoyed working there til those changes happened. They were very up to date new products. But once some of the changes happened it seem to be more about the money then about the employee and being like a family.
What I dislike about the company
The amount of hours I worked and was promised a year round job and based my salary on an annual con tract. But once the year started to slow down I was let go because they didn't know what they were going to do with me for two or so months. I was also told in the parking lot with another employee there that I was being laid off in two days. Had to fight to get what I was owed and still don't feel I received everything.
