I generally like the work environment, but rarely hear any praise for my work.
Support from management
Conflicts are handled professionally, but the only ones involved in decision-making are management and supervisors
There are no major issues between employees working together at my location, but not everyone pulls their weight, leaving others to pick up the slack.
Working third shift, I often am left uninformed of policy changes, company happenings, new drinks, etc. Also there are no regular meetings and I can go many days in a row without seeing or talking to a manager.
Office / Work Environment
Working overnight 5 days a week, my work life balance is very good. However the daytime employers and supervisors are sometimes overworked and given only 8 hours in between shifts.
Was not given much training on "OSHA standards"
Suggestions for improvement
- I'd really like to be able to get my schedule for each week several weeks in advance so that I can actually make plans. Also weekly or even monthly group meetings to do taste tests, teach new drinks, check in with employees and keep them up to date with any changes, and refreshing memory on coffee selling points would be very beneficial to me as an employee.
What I like about the company
Starting pay is high, health benefits offered, $10 meal allowance every shift, tuition reimbursement after a year, holiday pay, good training program, pleasant environment, opportunity for tips, popular product, guaranteed break, flexible scheduling, not a hassle to request time off
What I dislike about the company
Sometimes managers/supervisors are lazy about upholding standards, get my schedule for the week only several days in advance, schedule is never the same/no set weekly hours.
The following benefits were offered to me
