I do not have positive feelings about the company culture of the Department of Student Affairs. There is a lot of diversity in terms of the student population, however, there is very poor management. Employees are not given recognition for their positive work ethic, and good care of the students they tend to. Too much micro management and not enough autonomy, especially when you are a skilled medical professional.
Suggestions for improvement
- Improvement of communication between staff members and management.
- Ability to discuss work related problems with management without feeling that you might be retaliated against.
- Dishonest Director! Excessive inter-office memos handed to employees for extremely trivial matters, when one can be approached and have a face to face discussion on how to improve a situation. Extreme micro-management of professional staff members. Loss of autonomy and poor monetary compensation.
