The company does not really gets involved. In fact never received not even a proper review. They don't care about good employees as long as your cool and always say "YES" to them.
Support from management
Lots of management issues. They have gone through 4 service managers in the past 2 to 3 years. The hired a consultant company which made it worse and including the latest service manager which as no professional attitude and work ethics.
Lots of empty promises.
Even tho between most employees there's somewhat good relation, the company does not promote team work. In fact is a constant completion between Techs due to bad work distribution and low amount of work coming in the doors.
Freedom to work independently
Work is not distributed appropriately. They tend to starve the good and reliable techs and reward the "YES PERSONS" wrong people for the wrong reasons.
Communication is very poor. In fact you'll figure out things as they happened.
In fact all I can say in that matter a girl got fired 1 or 2 days after she informed the service manager that she was pregnant. That was weird.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Not to many of those.
The techs have very little opportunity. In fact had to beg to be sent to training and they promote lube techs and apprentices without knowledge and preparation in oreder to paythem less.
Overall compensation for your work
They used to. They cut our pay after dallying a raise for 6 months. Health insurance is extremely expensive and raising. only 2sick days per year. No real benefit there. Everything you get you pay for.
Office / Work Environment
Most equipment is either broken, incomplete or outdated. But they where replacing some of the equipment and making some improvements in that aspect.
That theme is not discussed so can't comment.
I used to work on a 40hrs base schedule, but always had to work long hour days due to improper work distribution and or lack of work. Was the only way to make a decent pay check to be able to maintain my family.
Was affecting by fimily, but had no choice.
Almost everybody that I worked with constantly talking negative about the company. Too many changes and none of them where on the employees benefit.
There's no job security whatsoever. Huge turnaround of employees. Seen people getting fired without any reasons given to them.
None. I never received any training about it. There's no encouragement for wearing safety glasses, steel toe, etc.
My sense of accomplishment is a personal thing cause a like what I do for a living. Not because they made me feel that way.
Inclusive / Diverse
No. In fact simple goals as receive training where impossible for some people. Is hard to get certified while working there.
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen your good employees and take care of them. Don't wait for them to quit so you can try to counter offer them when is already to late and they are totally discourage.
