Thank you's are rare. We do feel unappreciated.
Support from management
the executives wanted but did not act upon our ideas until it was too late. And sometimes they would take credit for our ideas.
Our department worked well with each other
Freedom to work independently
We did have control over our workload, but when the an executive team was created unfortunately the workload became unbearable.
In the past communication was excellent.
Overall compensation for your work
Salaries are confidential and below the norm. Starting pay for someone can vary depending on who is hiring.
Benefits: 1 week sick leave every year. 1 week vacation after 2 years, 02% raise every year, 20% off employee purchases, the 401K is excellent
Office / Work Environment
Lighting is not the greatest. The roof leaks so there is a smell in certain areas, The stairs at the Paa street location is very steep and scary.
There is so much work that the company wants you there to finish. Sometimes we cannot take vacation because it's very busy. Family is not a concern.
The image does not reflect reality.
There a risk for positions to be eliminated on the basis of financial or organizational restructuring. My job is not stable.
The Paa Street location is not ADA compliant
Sometimes we would work with other companies and I would hear praise from people outside of the company. That's when I would feel like I created something good.
Inclusive / Diverse
diverse opinions and ideas are not supported
Suggestions for improvement
- There are talented people outside of the Hawaii Island. Promotions should be offered to them. Competitive wages.
What I like about the company
My coworkers were very nice and sincere
What I dislike about the company
Long hours, not being appreciated
The following benefits were offered to me
