Hunter is a primary supplier in major car and truck manufacturer dealership equipment programs and is the recipient of many OEM supplier awards. It has been chosen for use at OEM production, research, testing and training facilities including: Chrysler's Chelsea Proving Grounds; Ford's Experimental Vehicles Building; General Motors' Milford Proving Grounds; and VW/Audi's Auburn Hills headquarters. Hunter heavy-duty brake testing equipment is the choice of the U.S. Army Logistics Command.

Sales and Service Careers: Become a Hunter Representative

A number of opportunities are available for Hunter sales and service representatives throughout the United States. We seek those individuals who have a proven track record in the automotive industry, especially in the auto service related field.


How would we describe the company culture?

Hunter's service force is unique in the industry. All service income goes directly to the Representative who performs the service; Hunter does not take a percentage. As a result, Hunter T&T Representatives have a low turnover rate. Among those past their first year of service, the average is over seven years, with many in the 20-year category.

Hunter's independent Sales Representatives' earnings are directly determined by their personal drive and selling skills. However, they also greatly benefit from the support of an industry leader in automotive service equipment.  It is a highly synergetic relationship. 

  

Our products are engineered with state-of-the-art technology and features that give us a competitive edge. With Hunter's broad product line and ongoing new product releases, additional sales can and will be built from existing ones.

Support from Management

Leadership does not provide expectations, nor do they value opinions/suggestions from employees.

Teamwork

Employees are very cliquey and the environment is unfortunately very accepting of foul language and talk which is very demeaning to others in the office.

Level of Autonomy

Many (capable/intelligent) employees are held back and have a very light workload as if they are not trusted to perform a job well done. As a result, many employees are very bored.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Communicate better with temporary worker's, if the company don't like the work be up front with them, don't lead them to think they will be hired, Empathy is always good to have. It's pretty hard on the temp side before you even get to show the company you're skills. I have a degree now so I no longer have to go through those crazy moments anymore.

What I like about the company

The work, and the co-workers.
