Suggestions for improvement
- Monthly team building training for overworked mental health employees should be utilized. A clean work environment is needed because cut backs have been made to the environmental staff and the office spaces are dusty and dirty and carpets are rarely vacuumed. Management should consider listening to and implementing some of the suggestions by their employees or not bothering asking for suggestions if they are truly not interested in hearing it. Hardworking employees should be recognized by upper management by providing them with Caught in the Act cards. This was more regularly used by co-workers recognizing other co-workers hard work and rarely used by upper management. The hospital may benefit from a future buy out by a larger organization but upper management is fearful of this due to the strong possibility of losing their lucrative positions.
I like about the employer
I enjoyed working with stellar co-workers who are supportive of each other and care for their clients. I also enjoyed working with and helping various clients who are lovely human beings.
