A Personal Floating Holiday for Support Staff would allow for observance of cultural service attendance without the use of a "personal day".
Support from management
Management listened to Staff, unfortunately did not comprehend the issues.
Some staff did not have the desire to learn all facets needed to "fill-in" to assist others.
Freedom to work independently
Professionals and Management disagreed on work distribution.
Seemed the same for Support Staff.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Appeared that Support Staff (57-62) had their position(s) eliminated when yearly cuts were made.
Support Staff should be evaluated individually for education, experience and continuing education and advanced accordingly.
Overall compensation for your work
Management and Professional Staff (Attorneys) should conference to discuss ANY issues arising with hours billed.
Office / Work Environment
Very Good Training program. Should have a "cheat-sheet" for all training sessions.
Staff should have the option of working from home to accommodate personal situations, not just the Attorneys.
IP is a specialty area in which Professionals (Attorneys) demeanor is a major factor.
Management should realize that individuals have different work ethics, negative comments regarding workload should not lead to orchestration of position elimination by Management.
Management and Non-Management (Attorneys and Support Staff) are at opposite ends on this.
Yes, clients' comments received on several occasions.
Inclusive / Diverse
Mainly for Professionals, not Support Staff.
Suggestions for improvement
- Mergers are difficult for all. Transitioning for Professionals (Attorneys) is even more difficult, be patient, and provide detailed assistance to avoid the Support Staff (LAA or LAS) being in the middle.
What I like about the company
Very Good Training programs (both Computer and Firm procedures). Trainers were pleasant, very knowledgeable.
What I dislike about the company
Flex hours and telecommuting for Support Staff not available. Reimbursement for all Seminars (related to job) for Support Staff.
