not a courteous or respectful environment.
Support from management
Some good, some bad, but with a lot of turnover.
machine operators referred to with insulting terms by management.
Much waste and frustration because internal departments place higher emphasis on making individual goals, rather than working together. Purchasing would defeat machining on a regular basis by bringing in materials that did not meet approved standards, just so they could meet their goals, at the cost of everyone else's goal. Some work being done to improve, but a long way to go.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They would hire anybody vertical and breathing for production because it seemed like they had cycled through everyone in the area. It seems everyone in the area has worked for Hydro-Gear or Agrifab in the past and rolls their eyes when mentioned.
Overall compensation for your work
If you go here, negotiate a great salary up front, because it is not their policy to give cost of living raises later.
Long days mandatory, overtime mandatory. Production people work almost every weekend.
Like a revolving door
They did do a great job of providing for certain employees that were friends and family.
There have been good efforts made to make it a clean safe environment.
Suggestions for improvement
- Bring in management and especially new quality management with automotive type experience, not your local buddies.
What I like about the company

What I dislike about the company
