A culture based on micromanagement, dishonesty, disorganization, and nepotism.
Support from management
Management is either engaged in corruption or powerless to effect change or utilize employee feedback. Employees trying to improve the company are working AGAINST its owners!
The company does nothing to foster teamwork. Individuals must attempt this with no support. Some are united by their awareness of how poorly the company performs.
Freedom to work independently
Micro-management is rampant. Tasks can be completed autonomously only to the extent that employees tow the line on matters of cost-cutting.
There is no coordination among employees and departments and no sense of prioritizing tasks. Individuals must attempt this with no support.
I have observed no notable instances of gender inequality.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Older employees are not valued as their experience commands a higher wage. The company "thrives" on inexpensive, inexperienced hires.
While the company effectively illustrates how NOT to behave in the profession, career development scarcely extends beyond this. Rewards for increasing responsibility are neither given nor considered.
Overall compensation for your work
While my compensation did lie within industry standards (albeit at the low end), the unpleasantness of environment and difficulty in righting egregious issues both commanded a premium that was not offered.
Office / Work Environment
Building is characterized by disrepair, and obsolescence.
Company has utter contempt for environmental regulations as adherence to them is an expense. Environmental friendliness is left to individuals.
Depending on the role, work-life balance can be either good or bad. I enjoyed a particularly good balance, though it was a stipulation of my employment.
Company is the laughingstock of the automotive dealership community.
Employees are expendable and terminated as soon as one offers to do their work for less compensation.
Compliant with laws regarding handicapped access.
Workplace safety is reasonably emphasized. Mental well-being is not.
Restoring this business to solvency and correcting the rampant abuses are insurmountable challenges.
Inclusive / Diverse
There is no notable issue with diverse populations. Diverse opinions are not tolerated, however.
Suggestions for improvement
- 1. Organize, for the love of God, organize!
2. Improve treatment and emphasize training of employees
3. Remember that "you get what you pay for!"
4. Understand that as there are so many problems to fix at once, employees get spread too thinly.
What I like about the company
2. Some dedicated employees
3.Good for comic relief- you'll certainly laugh!
4. Hyundai is a strong brand

2.Complete and utter disorganization
4. Patronizing and inept senior management (nepotism!)
6. Unethical management and business practices
7. Aggressive micromanagement
