There are very few things that are done to raise company moral. They use to give out $50 gift cards to two pole per month. One person for doing something good and the person who suggested them. Now they only give $25 to the person that does the good deed. Other than that and a free meal month there isn't much else. The management makes you not want the o be at work while the coworkers make the job fun.
Support from Management
Management does a poor job of making sure each individual's needs are taking into consideration when assessing an employee. They tend to expect everyone to work at a certain standard within a given amount of time that really doesn't suit all types of people. The lab manager says everyone should be average when it comes to yearly reviews to avoid giving out bigger bonuses, but then expects everyone to do their very best at everything all year long. There is entirely too much pressure put in the night shift employees to be the backbone of the lab and to make no errors while correcting others mistakes. The attitudes of management is what is really being the lab down. It's not the company just the management.
