EmployeeWorked at In N Out Burger in Phoenix, AZ at the time of review.

What I like

My uncle had died unexpectedly and I had to leave to California on short notice for the funeral. My managers made sure my shifts were covered and I had the time I needed to be with my family and focus on them and the funeral instead of worrying about having to work.

What I dislike

The training could be a bit better, but they do what they can to train you and level you up in the company.

Suggestions for improvement

The higher levels could do a better job training the new highers to work faster and better

Company Culture

They company overall is wonderful. They have a few minor problems, but can easily be discussed and fixed

Challenging Work

It's hard when beginning to learn a new position, but gets easier with practice

What I like

They treat me life family, helping me to succeed in everything I do and grow within the company as fast as I would like.

What I dislike

The rules and safety guidelines are frequently changing which is hard to keep up with but it is understandable.

Suggestions for improvement

Food prep is, most of the time, delegated by gender. Only men prep potatoes and learn to clean the grill. Women tend to stick to prepping tomatoes, lettuce, and onions.

Overall it has been excellent in that the work is a little hard, but fair, my coworkers are excellent, my management too

EmployeeWorked at In N Out Burger in Ventura, CA at the time of review.

What I like

My coworkers and managers alike treat all customers well, even when they are rude, but my managers will stick up for the employees and even remove the employee from the situation to make sure both the employee and customer are happy. Most people are very pleasant and patient when there are long lines and we are in a rush.

What I dislike

I feel as though the company pushes too hard their religious background such as biblical verses on some containers and I had to remove a few earrings.

Suggestions for improvement

I would include a larger kitchen, I would change the location of the storage where mops are located in, and I would argue that we should be able to wear mostly white shirts but with subtle patterns on them.
