Do your research on the specific units to work on. Many are not adequately staffed and have toxic management.
Short staffing. Occasional toxic work environment. Unfair scheduling.
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen to your employees. They know what is best for their unit and what improvements need to be made. Having managers that never stepped foot on a nursing unit or taken care of a patient should not be making the decisions.
What I like about the company
The ability to make a difference in the health of individuals.
What I dislike about the company
Inadequate staffing. Unfair scheduling. Unfair patient loads according to acuity.
