The leadership here is very disconnected from frontline staff. Conversations with leadership are mostly punitive.
What I like
The teamwork among the nurses on my unit was great. Everyone was willing to help each other.
What I dislike
I feel leadership needs to take the time to consider the needs of the frontline staff by listening to them and taking their opinions seriously. Good work needs to be recognized when it occurs.
Suggestions for improvement
The only time there was communication with leadership was when it was for something that was bad or wrong. Leadership needs to create a better relationship with frontline staff through more positive interactions.
