The Human Resources Director at the time had an excellent vision for bringing employee health care down to an individual level and organized an annual health care assessment where she had people come in to describe how to lose weight, how to lower stress, how to better communicate with your manager, how to communicate a person's individual needs to mangers, etc. This plan was not accepted by the executive management staff. While most employees found it valuable, the executive management staff found it to be not aligned with profitable goals. What a shame! The HR Director found a way to ensure that staffing goals were commensurate with an employee's overall health and outlook on job performance were aligned with company goals, but executive management did not support it.
Lack of communication between management and staff. Management picked particular individuals to silo information. This resulted in non-management staff not having privilege to information that management staff shared with particular individuals. Very political.
