Is it expected to work overtime and if so, how much?

No overtime is required, but they do allow you to work as many days a week as you would like. Sometimes they even offer a bonus, so if you work an additional 6 shifts in a 6 week period, you will get a $2,000 bonus. (A normal work week for a nurse is three 12 hour shifts, so that basically means you work four 12s a week for 6 weeks, and you get the bonus.)

I have seen all ages of employees at the hospital. I would say the chances of a 50 year old getting a job there are good.
