With very few exceptions, people are not commended for good work. That used to happen regularly, but hasn't in a long time.
Support from management
The company used to pride itself on very little "hierarchy" and it was a fun place to work. Anyone in the company could reach out and speak with anyone else, even the owner and the president. That culture changed when, as the company grew, they changed department heads. The new person didn't seem to be as interested in, or want to be as engaged with his employees as his predecessor. Gave very little direction and let one part of the department wither and die because he didn't want to be involved in producing that particular type of product.
The rank-and-file employees work very well together, even across offices that are several hundred miles apart.
Again, this used to be a company strength, it is no longer that way.
Office / Work Environment
Its fine. Some offices are a little cramped, but the company is looking for a larger space and does give their employees the tools and atmosphere they need to be successful.
vacation can be taken at any time, but only in full day increments. If you need to take time for an appointment, you must either take an entire day off or work extra to cover the time.
