Support from Management
The Leadership /Management did not support the workforce/Engineering /systems support. Corporate goals were the most important even if goals couldn't be met for the day or the end of the fiscal quarter, most logical ideas to meet corporate goals were put aside and or, ignored. Which created a divide within the company and also halted the upward and downward flow of information.
Suggestions for improvement
- International Truck and Engine should have a mandatory random drug testing policy for ALL employees. And change the policies and global goals of the company from expansion, to a more quality based approach. Equality within the workforce. Incentive based contracts. Incentives for employees that achieve education for promotions to help retention of a strong workforce (production, engineering, support and management ). Outsource the Human Resource duties which would help close the divide between management, engineering and system support. Outsource Human Resources to help with better and equal hiring practices of all genders and nationalities along with, bring a stop to the practices of discrimination and racism within the company.
