Avoid at all costs.
Management utilizes fear and belittlement.

Any loyalty seemed to be from a form of Stockholm Syndrome out of basic survival.
Freedom to work independently
Micromanagement is the rule.
Daily 7am conference calls to be redressed for previous day'so failings.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Very demanding work rules, nearly impossible to have family/work balance
Overall compensation for your work
Pay isn't bad, until you find yourself working endless hours of overtime away from home, including uncompensated travel time when driving company vehicles or flying out-of-state every week.
Office / Work Environment
Sterile office environment, no privacy, thermostat kept low.
There is some lip service to this, unless it gets in the way of customer requirements or management's immediate utility.
Mandatory travel weekly. Unpaid overtime mandatory. Your plane ticket home isn't purchased until your work is completed to management satisfaction, and the definition of "complete" can be a moving target.
The company feels more "virtual" than tangible, like it could shut down and disappear after one bad month or two.
There are few accommodations for disabled employees, but it's pretty likely management wouldn't be making offers to disabled candidates as their business model is razor thin and the demands are so high.
It's not dangerous work.
Challenging work, yes. Opportunities to learn, yes.
Suggestions for improvement
- The owner IS the company and isolating that from the poor people who work there is hard. The ones that have stuck around have succumbed to a sort of Stockholm Syndrome. They're like hostages who defend their captor.

Not a thing.

Working for an autocratic tyrant is not fun.
