Suggestions for improvement
- Fire top-managers and get people who are mature & competent in management and who treat all emps equally, w/o regard to "favorites".
I like about the employer
Co-workers were generally nice and fun to work with...good folks (co-workers). You can take days off when needed to handle personal business w/almost no hassle.
I dislike about the employer
Immature management team ("your mom!" jokes, for example) who clearly treat "favorites" VERY differently than "normal" emps. A total culture of being "in the clique". No career advancement opportunities if you aren't "in". You can only get "in" if you kiss a... well, which is the ONLY thing they truly appreciate. If you have prior experience to offer and, God-forbid, suggest a different way to do something, you are shut down immediately..."yeah, we'll give that some thought" and that's where it ends. Micro-mgmt at it's WORST! (VERY insecure, yet arrogant managers) No annual cost-of-living raises, only raises through Certification, and only CERTAIN certs give you a MAX raise of $1,500/yr. Enjoy your entry-level salary of about $40K, year after year. Your career goals mean nothing; only company goals count, which dictates your certs. You're expected to answer incoming help calls immediately, EVEN IF IN THE MIDDLE OF A PRIOR ISSUE. Calls MUST be worked now (no "I'll call you back soon to help"). While on phone, they are assigning you other tix in the background, so you almost never catch up. To top it off, they complain if some of your tix "go long" b4 completion. You are literally set up to fail. Usually under-staffed. Managers & employees frequently yell/cuss in phone area so clients can hear, which is embarrassing and unbelievably unprofessional.
