Company Culture

People get treated based on who they know. If you're no t related to the owner or plant manager, you will NOT get hired and will remain a temp for the entire time you work there. There are temps who have been there for over 17 years - that's not an exception but is common.

Support from management

Management doesn't care about the employees. Workers making $9/hour are expected to make enough quality parts, even though the machinery is old and outdated. Support from management is non-existent d workers are on their own. Plant managers like to hide this from the owners who see only concerned about how much money the company makes.

Workplace Safety

Safety is not a high priority here. Making production anyway possible - is a priority. Smoke and other metal dust in the air is a huge problem. Operations causing issues are turned off when any sign of OSHA or insurance companies are visiting.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Your employees do not trust you (management).Replace your plant managers and supervisors who play favorites. There are many temp employees who have been there for 10 years or more who are STILL not hired in, most are black and are talking about hiring a lawyer to file a lawsuit. The UAW would have a field day.
  • Improve working conditions, place is dirty and dumpy. Not a pleasant place to spend your day.
  • Update the equipment. Employees struggle to make production due to lack of maintenance done to machinery and tooling. Not fair to them.
  • Pay people a "living wage". Iroquois' pay scale is below the poverty line.
  • Hire people and give them the same health benefits you enjoy. People's families and children's lives and health are at stake. Just because it's not YOUR family, doesn't mean they are any less important.
  • Look at yourself in the mirror and determine if you really feel good about how your company operates and treats people.
