What I like about the company
A professional environment that provides a technically challenging work environment and growth.
What I dislike about the company
Many people at J. E Dunn Kansas City are smug and snooty. In my department there was a lot of back stabbing, back biting, women looking for law suits, employees "throwing each other under the buss" so to speak. The V.P. was not a person to go to bat for you but would rather fire you to make himself look good and appease the hounds and wolves. A lot of conflict in the department. Conflict over things that most likely could have been easily talked out. J.E. Dunn expects salaried employees to work 55 hours per week every week and if you take vacation, then it may be frowned on. J. E. Dunn expects your loyalty but will fire you at the drop of a hat. Also I saw and experienced some of the most bizarre behavior, policy, and attitude in the Kansas City corporate office. If you want a fun, friendly, caring, and stress free work environment, stay away from J. E. Dunn Construction Group.
