I became an assistant manager here, and was told that everyone is equally valued then quickly realized there’s company secrets and descrimination all over.
Support from management
Management does not care, and does not listen. Management at this store will only blame the crew below them, and can not take responsibility to save their life.
It really depends on the crew you’re on shift with, typically AM and Graveyard crew does everything they’re supposed too, but not everybody goes to WORK.
Freedom to work independently
Everything you do in a restraunt, is cooperative. Every aspect of it requires team work. Too often I was left by myself.
You can tell whatever manager, district manager, you want. Regardless of what is brought to their attention, nothing will be done.
Females in this industry definitely have a better chance at getting hired and moving up. District is very sexist.
Attitude towards older colleagues
The older colleages/management were sexist or immature. There was no guidance to turn too even in training.
If they can train you to move you up, they will. They want each store to have a certain number of supervisors and team members to look good for district. It’s also hard to keep employees there, so if they can keep you with the bribe of a pay raise, they will.
Overall compensation for your work
I was on minimum wage, was promoted to supervisor and got a $1 pay raise. Not worth it for all the hours put in.
Office / Work Environment
Storage is not organized, break room is a joke, not everything had a place to go and it quickly became a mess. Bugs found in the bathrooms during the day.
It really depended on who you worked with, but if management was on shift, everything was hostile and uneasy because everything was your fault in there eyes.
Even prior to becoming an assistant manager, I was spending over 40 hours a week at work. I would never get my schedule until the start of the week it was made for. I was called in on just about every day I had off.
They maintain a great image because nobody speaks up about what happens in the kitchen and when the lobby is empty and peeople are waiting in the drive thru.
Anyone who doesnt have a flexible schedule or isnt a supervisor will get cut on hours whenever they need too. It is not equal, hours are not shared.
A ramp, wide bathroom doors, and main doors were provided, due to goverment law requirements.
They try hard, and if the cleanliness regulations were followed, it would be very safe. But they’re not.
A trained monkey could perform the neccissary tasks and maintain better hygiene.
Inclusive / Diverse
While diversity is a positive thing, it was incredibly imbalanced. There was a total of 2 white females and 2 white males working there out of a total crew of about 25 people.
Suggestions for improvement
- Replace management, call an exterminator, and replace all the kitchen equipment. Raise the team member pay a little, and simplify the menu.

What I dislike about the company
The primary goal, like all businesses, is money. But your business, natuarally, is going to run a lot smoother if you have clean operating equipment and a responsible manager.
