Depressing environment to work in. Employees are not very happy. People look out for themselves and not one another. No loyalty
Support from management
Too many Chiefs not enough Indians. Administration / Accounting is seriously lacking true leaders.
Once again this is an area that is definitely lacking. Relationships aren't good. Pam in accounting is HORRIBLE to deal with. Her way or no way. I am shocked she is still there. The Controller has a temper. No one works together.
Lack of communication, lack of proper training, lack of kindness. Lack of respect for one another and each departments challenges.
Don't expect to progress in any way in this company. No one is willing to set aside their own agenda to assist you in your journey.
Office / Work Environment
Decent. The design of the building doesn't make a lot of sense.
Normal working hours but don't expect to leave early on holidays such as Halloween. Make sure your kids are taken care of by someone else. Depending on supervisor I was docked for coming in late for normal dentist appointments and doctor's appointments. Try to schedule those after hours or have someone else take your children. Not very flexible when it comes to your outside life. Executive will take advantage of having you work overtime if you allow it.
There is a very high turn over in this company. upper management needs to address this and recognize why.
Easy to access. Large parking lots, large building
Accounting is unorganized so it is a challenge to try to clean up accounts. So yes there is a challenge there. Challenging in the aspect of not having a good working relationships
Inclusive / Diverse
They tend to only use one person's idea and are not open to including their employees in decision making.
Suggestions for improvement
- Look at the turn over rate in the past 4-5 years. It is really sad to see all the good people that have come and gone or that have been let go that have gone on to succeed very well for other companies. upper management needs to take a good look at why the turn over and learn to value their employees more. Management has kept the wrong people and let go of the right people. A lot of people taking their business to Kenmore and I don't blame them.
What I like about the company
Good pay rate, good benefits
What I dislike about the company
Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. lack of good relationships with one another, Lack of respect for one another, Not enough positive communication, or kind words. Feeling of walking on Egg shells all the time. Terrible about the work life balance.
