able to work alone on projects with not much interference from manager.
there is one black woman in upper management (HR). Over the course of my employment. The rest are caucasian men.
there are no advancement opportunities. Your best bet is to learn what you need to and to leave. Your new experience will help you secure a new position making more money elsewhere.
As a whole, the company is aware that it underpays for all positions except for upper management, who enjoys a lions share of the profits. My position was way below market, but I accepted because I was in need. The low compensation made it almost impossible to find housing and constantly filling up the gas tank on a weekly basis.
management is a small clique who have run the company for 60+ years. Manager has a real angry streak.
aside from a recycle trash, can there is no noticeable eco program.
drove 60 miles daily to and from work. There is no work life balance and it is not encouraged. The company routinely hires people who have to travel too far to get to work, which in turn works against them because they don't allow for remote work or flexible working hours. Plenty people have quit as a result.
There's much to be improved in this area. Much has been said about modernizing the company's overall look, but change is slow to come. Too many cooks in the kitchen who simply don;t have what it takes to move the esthetic needle forward.
there is none. CA is an at-will employer. If you do a good, no great job and have never been told anything other than you're doing well, the company will create falsehoods to let you go. I've seen it.
unfortunately, this company suffers from lack of diversity training. HR is accustomed to business as usual in business and in corporate culture.
i was happy to grow my experience for the time i was there.
slow to change. slow to innovate. clique culture. little to no management support.
