What employees say

Employees like

Some of the staff are very decent but the rest are seriously terrible human beings. Could care less about the patients. All that hospital is now since Jefferson took over is a cash cow. They'd seriously rather rush people to literally pull the plug on their loved ones just to get a bed free for the next was of cash excuse me I mean patient! I saw it time and time again. I see many, many more lawsuits coming their ...
They hired me knowing I am a single mother of 3 with no support system. They continued to work with me and gave me flexibility with training while I was searching for a reliable sitter. They were also flexible and worked quickly to change my schedule to a permenant, set schedule when it was best for my children's needs.
Most everyone you come into contact with us friendly and generally nice and usually has a smile on their face. People ask about you when you're not around and are excited when they see you after some time away.
The value of my experiences at Jefferson are unmatched. I feel like I am learning a lot and I am enjoying my time in research. I have had many positive encounters with hospital staff.
The company is one of the best to work for (I’m speaking as a registered Nurse). They give you opportunities to grow in your field and help you with everything.

Employees don't like

Department management needs further education to learn to more properly manage a team. Management was promoted based on time with the company, with no prior management experience or education. The department is ran like a dictatorship. Staff suggestions are angrily dismissed. Retaliation has occurred against those who have spoken up. People are told: "if you don't like it, find another job". There is a constant turnover of staff due to this.
Do not let us struggle understaffed. It takes months to train a new employee, and they aren't hiring fast enough to keep up.
They do not offer employees free parking just discounted. The parking garages aren’t free neither.
Hourly wage for bachelor’s degree with experience is not much more than minimum wage of $15/hour
I better food options for workers especially after hours for those of us stuck in the hospital OK

Suggestions for improvement

I would improve the parking situation. The employees have to pay half price for parking at the hospital and I think it should be free.
I would change the parking situation. Employees should be able to get free parking at the hospital and not just discounted.
I would improve the parking situation. Parking should be free to park in the hospitals parking and not just discounted.
Have a better lounge for free snacks or free food for people who are working overtime or after hours
Upper management getting a better understanding of smaller departments rolls and abilities
