For the most part yes. The building is very secure and there are security guards on duty 6 days a week from 7 am until well into the morning. I always felt that I was safe when in side the building. They have bullet proof glass on all the windows, which would make it difficult for fire fighters should there ever be a fire. You cannot break the glass. It is too think.
Suggestions for improvement
- If they spent more time on training their management and executive management on how to become good leaders, as they are good at pitting department against department. I was in a department that was not liked throughout the organization. It made it hard at times to do your job effectively, because of the lack of communication from management. They were always great at criticizing your work, but were never good at communication, but never even uttered the words "good job" or even "thank you" when you completed it both timely and correctly. They need to clean house starting a the very top, including middle and supervisory management.
What I like about the company
The people are great. They employ union and non-union associates, so the compensation seems to be a little higher than the norm.
What I dislike about the company
Leadership. They really need to train their management better. It seems they promote only their favorites and have no career development at all. It is and continues to be each person for themselves. No teamwork.
