The male's were held to higher importance and a personal friendship level outside of work, paid, and treated better, and short commings overlooked.
There is no room for improvement above the rank of management in which there were more managers then regular employees. You only hold the management title so they have someone to point the finger at when something goes wrong and so they feel they have a whistle blower for the hours they are not there. The stores' profit and loss is not shared with it's employee's and rarely ever have a company meeting. You are only aware of the profitability when they tell you that you are not doing your job because inventory is off and product is missing and it could only be happening during the hours that the owners and the male employees are not there. Even though the owners are busy in their office most of the day or cleaning saltwater tanks and the male employees tie themselves up with tasks for long periods of time making them unavailable to help out much.
