It was in a crew that mostly spoke Spanish, so it was hard to understand what was going on all the time. Communication was not great at all
Support from management
Management was always there if I needed them
For the most part everyone got along and worked well together. There is always that one person in every company.
Freedom to work independently
They didn't hire the best people, lots of mistakes from people being left on there own
Communication was not great, never knew what was planned for the next day and sometime finding out out what the plan was last minute, making it hard to prepare for the day.
Didnt work with any women, not an indistry that women choose.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Yes they tewated the older people very well.
Not sure wasn't there long enough
Overall compensation for your work
Should've been paid more for the travel. $75 a day for hotel and food isn't that much
Office / Work Environment
Work was only outdoors. I've worked in -18dagree weather and a foot or two of snow
Yes we were very cautious of the environment.
Traveling was a big part of this job, I was gone M-F out of town staying in hotels away from my family.
Not working there any more. But I'd say I was proud because it was the hardest labor job I've ever done
If I stayed there yes I would agree
Outdoor work in dirt, mud, snow, rock and mountains
They were pretty safe with all the machinery we worked with
It was very manual labor intensive.
Inclusive / Diverse
My ideas weren't really listened too.
Suggestions for improvement
- The biggest improvements would be new machinery and reliable vehicles
What I like about the company
The people I worked with were very nice to work with and I found them there when I need something. They went out of there way to help anyone in the company.
What I dislike about the company
I would say the worst thing was not being compensated enough for all the travel and night being away from my family.
