Long hours, 10 12 hour days 6 days a week, I would sometimes work 12 or more days straight. Worked holidays and weekends, open on Christmas. They don't call it JM Family for nothing. They literally replace your family.
As soon as Lexus decided to come up with their "league of Lexus" the regime at JM Lexus met to discuss how they were going to achieve this rank worth millions of dollars. The way they chose to do so was to tie their employees pay to customer surveys. If this was just based on an individual basis I would not have had a problem with it because I had one of the highest averages in the store if not the entire company. The problem was the authors of this new pay plan were not only basing my pay on my performance but also on the two people ahead of me. So if I had 100 customers for the month if one of those customers put an 8 or 9 out of 10 for any question on the survey for either of the two people ahead of me it reduced my pay between 40 to 60% for every customer for that entire month. When I pointed that out, the director of sales response to me was "well that's just the way it is." I resigned the next day, followed by many others. This is a great company to work for but the leadership at the very top needs to go. They are over rated. Their success is due to the hard working employees and sales managers. The GM, GSM, and finance director need to go!
