I definitely did not feel welcome, and the employees just don't get along.
Sometimes I get help on the register, but only if I call for backup on a poor radio.
Freedom to work independently
Unfortunately, if you aren't fond of an employee, you'll still have to work with them no matter what.
Little to no training. On my first day, everyone expected me to know material and were shocked if I didn't.
Overall compensation for your work
It's a very strenuous job if you're not used to it - they expect you to keep track of emails/mailers, answer the phone, stock items even as you are attending customers in the register.
Despite it being known it was my first day, I was treated rudely for not knowing all aspects of the job.
Somewhat considerate of my studies, but barely. They hold you for more time over your shift.
Suggestions for improvement
- I'd suggest offering more shifts for employees who desire flexibility. Also, more training.
What I like about the company
What I dislike about the company
They require you to do many tasks for minimum wage compared to other companies who offer more pay for the same job. It feels that employees are not appreciated.
