I like about the employer
Sense of teamwork amongst employees.
I dislike about the employer
In 2006, before the major outsourcing of companies was really prevalent in the US, JPM Chase had a consistent culture, which consisted of consistent managerial styles. However, when the effects of outsourcing rendered the employment of many Middle Eastern employees in management, the company culture and managerial styles changed for the worse. The company now consists of a mix of American and Middle Eastern styles of management. American managers are more involved in their development of their departments and employees, while the Middle Eastern managers exhibit a "hands off" approach. This "hands off" approach wreaks havoc amongst the cultures, because the managers do not control the development of the department. The are not involved in the problems associated with managing the department and its employees, leaving individuals and processes to fin for themselves.
